FAQ

QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

Ask a Question
  • How do I pair the remote?

Here's a step-by-step guide to pair your Hunter Universal 3-Speed Ceiling Fan & Light Remote Control (99110) with its receiver:

    Pairing Instructions

    1. Turn Off the Power to the Fan:

      • Turn off the power to the ceiling fan at the breaker or use the wall switch to cut off power to the fan.
    2. Install the Receiver (if not already installed):

      • Make sure the Hunter 99110 receiver is correctly installed in the fan canopy, following the installation instructions.
      • The receiver wires should be connected to the fan and power supply properly (black to black, white to white, etc.).
    3. Turn On the Power to the Fan:

      • Restore power to the ceiling fan by turning the breaker or wall switch back on.
    4. Set the Remote Control:

      • Open the battery compartment on the back of the remote and insert the correct batteries (usually AAA).
      • Inside the battery compartment, you will see dip switches for frequency matching. Ensure the dip switches on the remote match the dip switches on the receiver. If they do not match, use a small screwdriver or pen to adjust the settings on the remote to match the receiver.
    5. Pair the Remote to the Receiver:

      • Within 3 minutes of restoring power to the fan, press and hold the “Fan” button on the remote for at least 5 seconds. The fan should respond by turning on, signaling the pairing was successful.
    6. Test the Remote:

      • Try adjusting the fan speed, turning the light on/off, and confirming that all functions are working correctly.

    Troubleshooting:

    • If the remote doesn’t pair, turn the power off and on again, then retry the pairing process.
    • Check that the batteries in the remote are fresh and installed correctly.
    • Ensure the dip switches inside the remote and receiver match.
